The name “BEEZink” comes from my old stamp company. It was called Bartholomew’s Ink and we sold Murder-Mystery Rubber Stamps. Our customers shortened the name to “B’s Ink”.
When I sold the company, “B’s Ink” became “Beez Ink”. The bee theme seems appropriate as my mind is constantly humming and buzzing with ideas!
Although my art training is in illustration (and Egyptology!), I am constantly trying new materials and projects. The best description for my work is “bi-polar mixed media”. I love luscious, bright colors, but I also adore rusty, crusty ancient artifacts. My challenge is to find ways to combine the two! I use whatever materials I need to to convey the idea. (Including database and website design!) A new challenge? Bring it on! Well... maybe after a nap.
Ah, a nap... a shop, gallery, studio, ideas, ideas, ideas. I also have two kids, a 4 year old girl and an 13 year old boy (who has his own stamp line!), and a cat.
